Donation categories and this breakdown are published here, in the open, and reviewed with members at chapter meetings. Questions about a gift? Ask at any gathering — the books are the community's books.

Community Fundraisers

When one of us is in need, all of us give.

Start a fundraiser for a medical bill, a funeral, school fees, an emergency, or a community project. Fundraisers appear here instantly during your visit; examples are marked. Giving is recorded as a pledge of intention — no card is ever charged on this concept site; real payments start when a payment provider is connected at launch.

Safeguards: on the live site, organizers are verified by the Umoja243 team before money moves, and payouts go to the beneficiary. If a fundraiser looks wrong, use its Report button — reports go to the moderation queue (see the Admin preview). Never send money to a personal account for a fundraiser you cannot verify; ask the team through the contact form first.
